Ajuga reptans or Carpet Bugle produces crowns and spreads by horizontal above ground stems called stolons. Carpet Bugle has foliage reaching 4 - 6 inches in height and produces attractive 8 - 10 inch spikes bearing purple-blue flowers in late spring.

This species itself has medium green foliage. Fall color is a striking reddish bronze and can hold its leaves all winter.

Plant spacings: Plant 24 inches apart, 100 plants cover a 400 square foot area. Potted, well rooted plants with vigorous growth. GREAT VALUE!
